    • The Seekr Privacy Policy helps you easily understand how we collect, use, and share your personal information and assists you in exercising your privacy rights. This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected and processed by us in our business, including when you contact us or interact, visit, and use our websites (www.seekr.com).
    • A search engine that knows a bit about you can deliver a great experience while protecting your privacy. At Seekr, we take the responsibility to protect your data seriously, and we are committed to making our Services better for you. Policies should be transparent and easily understood so you are not left wondering how a company treats your information. Therefore, we wrote our Privacy Policy to be transparent; in fact, we highlight the main takeaway for you so you can quickly understand our position.

        • Social Media: You may follow us on social media or opt to join a forum owned by Seekr. In this case, any content you provide will be considered “public” and is governed by the Privacy Policy of the company providing them (i.e., Instagram).

    • As Legally Necessary: We may access, preserve, and disclose any information we store associated with you to external parties, including courts, and government entities, if we, in good faith, believe doing so is required under law, regulation, or court order or appropriate to comply with law enforcement or national security requests and legal process.

    • In the Event of Merger, Sale, or Other Asset Transfers: We may share some information, such as a list of Seekr customers, in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing due diligence, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, purchase or sale of assets, or transition of service to another provider.
    • Consent: We may share personal information with your consent and at your direction.

    • Private browsing: You can use controls in your internet browser to limit how the websites you visit can use cookies and withdraw your consent by clearing or blocking cookies.Even if you opt out, we may still collect and use information that is de-identified, aggregated, anonymous, or otherwise not in a personally identifiable form for the purposes described herein.

    We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

    • Our Services are not intended for or directed toward children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we become aware that we have obtained personal information from a child under age 13, we will delete such information in accordance with applicable law.

    • Right to Opt-Out of Sale of Personal Information: You have the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information. Seekr does not sell your personal information for money. However, the CCPA's definition of a “sale” is both unique and broadly worded and captures disclosures beyond monetary exchanges. For example, sharing your data with third-party networks to serve you with ads tailored to your preferences across various platforms may be considered a “sale” under CCPA.       Please Note:

      • Opt-outs are device and browser-based. You must opt out on each device and browser where you want your choice to apply.
      • Opt-outs may be stored via cookies. If you clear cookies, your opt-out may no longer be valid, and you must opt out again where you want your choices to apply.
      • We may still share your personal information with our service providers that help us perform necessary functions for our business, such as vendors that host our Site, analytics processors, etc. These entities are contractually obligated to keep this information confidential and not use it for any purpose other than the Services they provide to our business.
      • You may still receive ads from us that are not tailored to your interests.
    • Right to Non-Discrimination: You have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your CCPA privacy rights. We do not use the fact that you have exercised or requested to exercise any CCPA rights for any purpose other than facilitating a response to your request.

    Making a CCPA Request

    How to make a CCPA request:

    Once we receive your request, we are required to verify that you are the person that is the subject of the request (the “Verification Process”). The Verification Process consists of matching identifying information provided by you with the information we have about you in our records. Upon making a request, you will be asked to provide your name and email address. A confirmation email will be sent to the email address you provide to verify that you are the subject of the request. If we cannot verify your identity, we will not be able to respond to your request.

    Authorized Agent

    You may designate an authorized agent to exercise any of the above California privacy rights on your behalf, subject to the agent request requirements of the CCPA. Authorized Agents may make requests under the CCPA on behalf of California Consumers by contacting us at support@seekr.com

    California's Shine the Light Law. If you are a California resident, you are entitled once a year, free of charge, to request and obtain certain information regarding our disclosure, if any, of certain categories of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes in the preceding calendar year. We do not disclose your information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. If you have any further questions, please email us at: support@seekr.com . Do Not Track Signals — California law requires us to let you know how we respond to web browser Do Not Track (“DNT”) signals. Because there currently is not an industry or legal standard for recognizing or honoring DNT signals, we do not respond to them at this time.

  9. Security of Your Information:

    We store your data on servers in the United States and we work hard to protect it.

    • We collect and store all data in the United States. We are taking steps to ensure that your information is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Unfortunately, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you provide to us. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we do not accept liability for unintentional disclosure. By using the Services or providing personal information to us, you agree that we may communicate with you electronically regarding security, privacy, and administrative issues relating to your use of the Services. If we learn of a security system's breach, we may attempt to notify you electronically by posting a notice on the Services by mail or by emailing you.
